Watched the last episode of 6 feet under last night. Alot has happened in the four years we've been getting together as a group to eat dinner and watch the show. The series finale kicked loose alot of emotional spiders I had clinging to the walls and I spent last night tossing and turning. I gave up after two hours and took half a vicodin to get drowsy enought to pass out. there's no way I'm tossing and turning all night only to get up and swim and kick ass at work, just can't happen. Normally I'm not a big - take drugs and go to sleep guy but last night called for measures outside the norm. Hard to describe how i feel today. The show ending isn't that big of a deal - but it's the thoughts the finale inspired that are a challenge to deal with. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic again and if you've ever been to this journal before you know I'm an addict. The scene where Claire is leaving for NY took me right back to 5 years ago when I was leaving my folks house and bolting for LA in the morning. I forget more than I would like that I only see my family twice a year. We used to be very close and I still talk to my folks every week or two, but it is strange how much distance extends over time.

Also if you're into the music over the closing credits - here is Sia: Breathe me with an excellent video
